Backing women, building stronger communities
Believe in women's autonomy and want to support projects that back women and girls in a meaningful, respectful way? This is for you. Hands-on work that mixes impact, cultural exchange, and growth, in structured settings supporting women facing real hardship.
Volunteering for women's empowerment with HeyLocals means working alongside established projects that strengthen the role of women in their communities, every day.
You'll be on the ground in places where access to education, work, and economic independence is still limited, collaborating with local teams and women from the community.
Activities are mainly in the morning and include:
- Supporting educational and training programmes,
- Activities around economic autonomy and professional skills,
- Workshops, mentoring, and backing local initiatives.
Afternoons are for cultural exchange, community life, and exploring the area, always alongside the local staff and other volunteers.
Everything's set up so you can focus: accommodation included, local team support, carefully chosen projects.
We partner with established projects, often led by women, that work in the community day in and day out.
No paternalism. Every activity supports, not replaces, the work already being done locally.
Education, skills, and economic independence as the tools for real, lasting change.
Meals, accommodation, basics, all in. You focus on the experience.
Goal: Contribute in a real way to projects promoting rights, autonomy, and equal opportunities.
