In the lively coastal town of Hua Hin, English is more and more important for students' future, but the teachers do not always have the tools or the time to practise it every day.
The project was set up to build the language skills of children and students through hands-on, creative activities. As a participant, you will work alongside the teachers in lessons, bringing along games, songs and activities that make learning more engaging.
It is an experience that brings together discovering Thai culture and the pleasure of seeing students grow in confidence, one step at a time.

School and community life: an experience in Hua Hin
In Hua Hin, local schools welcome volunteers who bring fresh ideas and energy to the classroom.

The Weekly Program
Weekdays
From Monday to Friday, mornings or afternoons go to teaching at the schools, with mixed-age classes alongside the local teachers.
The rest of the day is for lesson prep, organised cultural activities and free time with the other participants.

🌞 Your accommodation in Hua Hin
You will stay at Sunshine House or, alternatively, at Paradee House. Both are in quiet areas close to town, with easy access to shops, markets and services. Comfortable, practical, with common spaces where you can relax and meet other volunteers.
🏡 The houses
• Sunshine House: shared rooms (4–12 beds), air conditioning, shared bathrooms, common areas with a pool and garden.
• Paradee House (subject to availability): private rooms with bathroom, fridge, kettle and access to a smaller pool.
At both: lockable rooms, personal lockers and everything you need to feel comfortable.
🍽️ Meals
Included: 3 a day on weekdays and 2 at weekends. Home-style cooking, vegetarian-friendly, with Thai dishes (rice, noodles, vegetables, fruit). Town has lots of restaurants and street food if you want to mix it up.

✈️ Arrival tips
For an easy start, we recommend booking a flight that arrives at Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on Sunday, ideally between 06:00 and 16:00. Within these hours the welcome and transfer to Hua Hin is up and running.
If you arrive on a Saturday, you will need to book an extra night at our accommodation (small supplement applies).
If you arrive after 16:00, we can still arrange the transfer (small extra applies), or you can make your own way.
If your flight lands at Don Mueang Airport (DMK), you will need to make your own way to Suvarnabhumi (BKK), since pickups only run from there.
Please send us your flight details as soon as you book, so we can sort the bus ticket and the welcome.
📍 Meeting point
The meeting point is at Level 2, Gate 3 at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). A member of our staff will be waiting with a sign. 👉 If you cannot spot them straight away, stay there: the team will reach you. Do not move on your own.
🧳 Luggage
The included bus ticket allows up to 20 kg. If you have extra luggage, you may pay a small fee (refundable up to 50 kg by showing the receipt to the local staff).
🕑 Travel time to Hua Hin
The trip from the airport to Hua Hin takes around 4–5 hours (bus plus local transfer). You may share the journey with other participants arriving around the same time.
🚖 Departure tips
Check-out from the accommodation is by 12:00 on Saturday. The return transfer to the airport is not included, since participants leave at very different times. That said, our staff will happily help you book a taxi or a bus, also shared with other travellers.
We would suggest booking your return flight for Saturday evening or Sunday morning, so you can leave the accommodation in your own time and get to the airport without rushing. If you are planning to carry on travelling in Thailand (Bangkok, the islands or other cities), let us know in advance: our team will give you practical tips to sort the transfers.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an updated email with all the practical info and emergency contacts.
