About section

In Tarrafal, this project was created to improve local schools and give children safer, more welcoming places to learn and play.

Many schools in Tarrafal have aging, poorly equipped facilities: walls in need of repainting, broken desks, and outdoor areas waiting to be fixed up. The local community, together with the project coordinators, works every year to renovate these spaces and make them more functional and inspiring. As a participant, you'll make a real, hands-on contribution to the renovation and maintenance of school buildings — painting, building, and repairing alongside local coordinators. Each day you'll see the progress you've made and the direct impact your work has on the people who live here. A practical, collaborative experience designed for those who love to see change take shape with their own hands.
