About section

In Tarrafal, this project was born to support the local medical centre and provide accessible care to a community that is building, day by day, a stronger healthcare system.

In many parts of Cape Verde, access to healthcare services is limited and resources, equipment and qualified staff are often in short supply. The Tarrafal medical centre is a vital point of reference for hundreds of people, providing daily care and public health programmes. This project allows healthcare students and professionals to work alongside local doctors, observe clinical consultations and take part in health education activities. A concrete opportunity to put your skills into practice, contribute to the wellbeing of the community and discover a new perspective on medicine and care.
